Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz is a Polish politician who was a member of the left-wing Democratic Left Alliance, the Prime Minister of Poland from 1996 to 1997, and the Foreign Minister of Poland between 2001 and 2005.
He signed the Accession Treaty that paved way to Polish membership in the European Union and returned to politics during 2007 parliamentary election, when he won a Senate seat as an independent candidate.
