Steve is an award-winning political consultant with 40 years’ experience in politics and policy development. He was an activist in the peace camps movement in the early 1980s after which his career has included stints as an elected Town Councillor, an adviser to three women MPs, a public affairs consultant, Director of Strategy at the North West Regional Assembly, Deputy Director of the (John) Smith Institute, campaigner on the issue of low pay for care workers, instigator of a number of regional APPGs and thought leader on health devolution. He was appointed Chair of the Nuclear Education Trust in 2022.
