Ambassador Stephan Klement is the EU Special Envoy for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation since February 2024 and the Special Advisor for the Iranian nuclear issue in the European External Action Service since 2016. He holds a Doctoral degree in International Law from the Institute of International Law and International Relations, University of Vienna, as well as a Doctoral degree in Physics from the Institute of Experimental Physics, also University of Vienna. Mr Klement is a native German speaker and fluent in English and French.
