Sophie Taylor

Head of Strategic Engagement

Sophie-Jade Taylor is Head of Strategic Engagement at the European Leadership Network (ELN). She joined the organisation in 2018 as Network and Communications Officer and went on to serve as Manager, Senior Manager, and Acting Director of Policy and Impact before stepping into her current role in September 2025.

In this role, Sophie oversees relationships with the ELN’s high-level networks and partners, ensuring their input shapes the organisation’s research, advocacy, events, and communications. From 2019 to 2022, she coordinated the ELN’s involvement in the Gender Champions in Nuclear Policy initiative, leading efforts to embed diversity in working practices.

Before joining the ELN, Sophie worked in the UK Parliament with the House of Lords International Relations Committee and the Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy, in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office at the UK Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, and in political risk consultancy.

She holds a First-Class Honours degree in International Relations and a Master’s with Distinction in International Security and Development, both from Swansea University.
