Sophie Schäffer is currently Chief of Staff and Policy Advisor for security and defence policy for a member of the German Bundestag. She previously worked at the Federal Ministry of Defence, the Federal Foreign Office and the German Council on Foreign Relations. Sophie is an extended board member of Women in International Security Germany. Sophie holds two master’s degrees in International Security and International Relations from Sciences Po Paris and King’s College London, and a BA in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin.
