Sarah Kunis currently serves as Country Director for Korea in the Office of the Secretary for Defense in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Her portfolio focuses on deterrence issues related to the U.S.-Republic of Korea Alliance.
Prior to joining DoD, Sarah worked as an analyst for the U.S. Space Force on counter-space issues. She has also previously worked briefly at the German Parliament, German Council on Foreign Relations (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik), U.S. Department of State, and UNESCO Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU).
Sarah received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Stanford University and completed her master’s studies at Seoul National University in international cooperation.
