Rachel Staley is the Program Manager for the British American Security Information Council (BASIC). She assists in the development and coordination of BASIC’s programme work on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament in the United Kingdom, Middle East, and United States and manages the operations of BASIC’s head office in London. Rachel holds an MA in Non-proliferation and International Security from King’s College London.

The sustainability of the P5 process and expectations for London
Rachel Staley argues that if serious progress is not made at the meeting of the five recognised nuclear states in London on 4 February such meetings will gradually be viewed as redundant and sink into irrelevance, thus shutting down a vital multilateral nuclear dialogue.
