Nicolas is part of the leadership team at International Student / Young Pugwash and a Senior Consultant at Novaspace, where he previously worked as a consultant.
In June 2026, he was appointed the first Pugwash-Carnegie Fellow for Science and Security, working on the Effects of a Nuclear War alongside broader work on Disruptive Technologies and Strategic Stability.
Nicholas is a co-founder and head of partnerships at the Responsible Technology Hub, a former president of ISYP UK, and has internship experience in research and programme management at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs.
Arboleda has published with the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists on post-quantum encryption. He focuses on the impact of technologies, such as space-enabled capabilities and neurotechnology, on peace and war. He is an MA graduate in Politics and Technology from the Technical University of Munich and holds a Bachelor’s in International Relations from the University of Warwick.
