Natalia Zhurina (Russia) is an expert in nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation and is currently working as Research and Education Officer at the Agency for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean (OPANAL). Additionally, she is an active member of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Youth Group, a founding member of the BASIC Emerging Voices Network, and mentor at the Women Transforming Our Nuclear Legacy (WTONL).
Natalia has a BA in International Relations and Affairs from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhl (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute), and a MA in International Affairs with Specialism in Strategic Studies from the King’s College London. Previously to OPANAL, she worked several years in Moscow, initially for the Embassy of Peru to the Russian Federation and then for the Peru Trade Office.
