Michael Staack is a Professor Emeritus of Political Science, with emphasis on Theory and Empirical Research of International Relations, at the Helmut Schmidt University of the Armed Forces in Hamburg. He has completed various guest professorships and research visits at universities in China and the U.S. and served as an adviser to the foreign ministers of Germany and South Korea on the foreign policy aspects of a Korean reunification.
