Piotrowski specializes in the Gulf Region, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and is currently an analyst at the Polish Institute of International Affairs. He received his Ph.D. from Warsaw University, where he studied political science, international relations and national security. He is a former analyst at the Department of Policy Planning at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a former diplomat in Washington DC and prior to that Piotrowski was the Polish Liaison to the U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
