James Rogers is Lecturer in Strategic Studies at the Baltic Defence College. He has worked on projects for several research institutions, including the European Union Institute for Security Studies in Paris, RAND Europe in Cambridge, the European Council on Foreign Relations in London and the Royal Institute for International Relations in Brussels. He holds an M.Phil in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BSc. Econ. in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He writes here strictly in a personal capacity.
