Jacob W Kipp is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Kansas and a columnist on Eurasian Security for the Jamestown Foundation. He is former Director of the US Army Foreign Military Studies Office (FMSO) and the Deputy Director of the US Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). He has published extensively on Russian and Soviet naval and military history.
