Eoin Micheál McNamara is a PhD researcher at the Institute of Government and Politics, University of Tartu (Estonia) and an Associate Fellow at the Latvian Institute of International Affairs in Riga. At Tartu, he has lectured in transatlantic relations and Asian security. His research interests include NATO burden-sharing, transatlantic relations, comparative security policy in Central and Eastern Europe, civil-military relations and the dynamics of America’s global alliance networks. He holds an M.Sc. in security studies from University College London (UK) and a B.A. (Hons.) in history and politics from University College Dublin (Ireland).
