Daniel is a Leadership Team Member at International Student/Young Pugwash (ISYP), where he coordinates external partnerships and leads ISYP’s key new Africa Project which is focused on capacity building for young Africans in nuclear disarmament and peaceful nuclear applications. He is also a Member of the Next Generation Advisory Committee of the European Leadership Network project on Protecting the Nonproliferation Treaty. Previously, Daniel served as a Future Generations Global Ambassador for the Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales and Foundations for Tomorrow. Prior, Daniel worked as Deputy Partnerships Coordinator at Youth for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons where he spearheaded partnership and outreach efforts towards the success of the first Youth Meeting of State Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Vienna, in 2022. He also helped Effective Altruism for Christians advise university students in Nigeria on pursuing high impact careers, and was a Contributing Researcher at the Effective Institutions Project.
Daniel is an alumnus of several academic and leadership institute programmes such as Deakin Business School, University of Benin, United States Institute of Peace, Geneva Centre for Security Policy, Amnesty Academy, Quaker United Nations, and the Common Purpose’s Commonwealth 100 Open Source Leadership Programme for which he was awarded Open Source Leader Badge.
With a career focus on global security and international development, Daniel’s areas of interest include AI safety, nuclear nonproliferation and disarmament, nuclear energy, existential security, future generations protection, and sustainable development. Beyond his career, Daniel is also exploring how to promote racial justice and male wholeness in societies around the world.
