Arseny Sivitsky is a Founder and CEO of Sarmat AnalytiX, a political and geopolitical risks consultancy (Hong Kong), and a member of the YGLN since 2017. Previously, he was a Director and Co-founder of Minsk-based Center for Strategic and Foreign Policy Studies (currently the activities are frozen in Belarus).
He graduated with honors (2012) and has Master’s degree in Philosophy from the Belarusian State University (2013). He finished a PhD program at the Institute of Philosophy, National Academy of Science of Belarus (2016). His doctoral research is in the field of Social Philosophy and Methodology of Science. He worked there as a research fellow at the Center for Studies of Globalization, Regionalization and Sociocultural Cooperation in 2016-2022.
At the invitation he is also doing now doctoral research in the field of strategic studies / military sciences at the Center for International Studies in Changsha, China.
He is a military officer in reserve of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, specialized in combat use of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), anti-tank guided missile systems (ATGM) and company and battalion-sized mortar systems. He graduated from the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps of the Military Department of the Belarusian State University with honors in 2012, then from the 72nd Guards Joint Training Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus with honors in 2013 and from the 6th Independent Guards Mechanized Brigade of Armed Forces of Belarus (ROTC) with honors in 2021.
He runs his political and geopolitical risks consultancy. As an independent foreign policy and strategic affairs consultant and cooperates with a range of consultancy companies, specializing in investment, political and security risks assessment and Russia / Eurasia. He has wide experience in holding briefings for civil and military officials and participating in political and military simulations (wargames).
Until recently, he was living in Minsk, Belarus. Since 2023, he has been living in Poland.
