ELN Policy Fellow Katarina Kertysova was interviewed by Euractiv about a recent NATO survey looking at how citizens perceive the principles of collective defense, increasing funding, or working with the EU, Russia or China. She argued that the government and ministries in Slovakia must continue to improve communication about the Alliance and the country’s role in it towards the general public. It should focus in particular on “young people who are more likely to perceive non-military threats if they are skeptical of the NATO”. The article (in Slovak) can be found here.
