Addressing Cyber Threats to Nuclear Weapons and Crisis Management Dialogue

The Euro-Atlantic Security Leadership Group (EASLG) is an independent and informal initiative, with participants who reflect the diversity of the Euro-Atlantic region from the United States, Canada, Russia, and fifteen European countries.

To generate solutions to improve security and reduce nuclear and other military risks, the EASLG have issued two statements to address the new cyber threats to nuclear weapons systems and the advocacy of crisis management dialogue and strategic stability.

EASLG: Support for Crisis Management Dialogue and Strategic Stability in the Euro-Atlantic Region

The EASLG address the risk in the lack of effective and reliable crisis management dialogue and provide a foundation for crisis management advocacy.

EASLG: Support for Cooperation among Governments to Address Cyber Threats to Nuclear Weapons Systems

Due to increased cyber capabilities transforming and creating new nuclear risks, the EASLG propose actions that work towards building a better understanding of the global nature of this threat.

The opinions articulated above also do not necessarily reflect the position of the European Leadership Network or any of its members. The ELN’s aim is to encourage debates that will help develop Europe’s capacity to address pressing foreign, defence, and security challenges.
