Following a two-day forum on the future of Russia-West relations hosted with King’s College London, we share interviews with a number of event participants.
On 7 September 2018, the ELN – in partnership with the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) and Palacio y Asociados – hosted a high-level roundtable to consider what defence matters could look like under the next European Commission.
ELN Policy Fellow Alice Billon-Galland participated in the Prague European Summit 2018, speaking at a panel on “European Defence Cooperation: A Symbol of the Future of European Integration?”
ELN Policy Fellow Alice Billon-Galland attended the ‘NATO Engages’ event in the margins of the Brussels summit, and participated in gatherings as a member of the Executive Board of Women in International Security UK (WIIS UK).
On 16-17 July 2018, the European Leadership Network together with the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) co-hosted a seminar in Moscow as part of a joint project to identify specific, realistic and politically feasible steps that Russia, NATO and NATO members can take to move towards a more stable deterrence relationship.
Alice Billon-Galland participated in the PS21 panel “The Changing Face of Conflict” at the UK Ministry of Defence on 11 June 2018.
The European Leadership Network is partnering with King’s Centre for Strategic Communications (KCSC), the Gerda Henkel Foundation, Centre of Military and Political Studies at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT) to host a public debate on the future of the relations between Russia and the West on Wednesday 4 July. The event will examine the influence of trust and emotions on the future of the relations between Russia and the West.
ELN Policy Fellow Axel Hellman attended a panel discussion at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC for a discussion on the fallout from Trump’s decision on the Iran nuclear deal.
